WALL — The Southern Regional Ice Hockey battled to a 1-1 tie against St. Rose High School on Tuesday at the Jersey Shore Arena in Wall.  Southern's Chris Laureigh broke the scoreless tie with 9:23 to go in the third period to give Southern (9-7-1) a 1-0 lead.

Christopher Lordi soon scored to tie the contest at 1 with 5:56 to play in the third period. Tim Regan picked up an assist on the game-tying goal

Jack Bilancione stopped 16 of 17 shots for St. Rose. Trey Mattern stopped 30 shots in goal for the Rams. 

Southern's season record stands at 9-7-1/
