TOMS RIVER - The Southern Regional Wrestling team captured the NJSIAA Group V championship on Sunday by defeating fourth seeded Passaic Tech in the 2 p.m. semifinal contest 48-12.

The Rams advanced to the 7 p.m. championship against Hunterdon Central and they were victorious by a score of 34-27.

This is Southern's third overall NJSIAA state championship. The Rams won this prestigious honor in 2005, 2016 and now 2019.
