Administrative Professional's Week Marks Evolution of an Important Position

Next week, companies of all types and sizes around the United States will come together and celebrate Administrative Professional's Week. The week-long observation, which culminates with National Administrative Professional's Day on April 21st, commemorates the contributions that talented professionals make to organizations on a daily basis. Snelling Staffing - Summit celebrates the occurrence while reporting the evolution of this ever-changing position.

"Our recent economic events prove the importance of valuable Administrative Professionals," says Pam Cooper, President of Snelling Staffing - Summit. "Companies realize the strategic significance of having a gifted and intellectual employee."

Cooper states that the economic crisis shifted the responsibilities of the position and called upon Administrative Professionals to contribute even more to their organizations. While these dynamic employees were always a necessity to complete daily operations, Administrative Professionals are now taking more of a leadership role within their businesses. She believes that that these professionals are in a rare place to help within their companies.

"Administrative Professionals have to assist all of the departments within a business," says Cooper. "Because they need to be knowledgeable of all facets of the organization, they tend to look at how business processes work together as whole, as opposed to compartmentalizing."

Cooper additionally asserts that this ability to have a holistic view is integral for organizational success. She states that executives who utilize their professionals to their full potential will ultimately increase productivity and add value to the company's bottom line.

"Administrative Professionals encounter the inefficiencies of their organizations on a daily basis," adds Cooper. "They're naturally going to be the first people to find practical solutions to make a more lean and effective business."

Next week, join the business world by honoring the hard-working Administrative Assistants of the country who not only keep the office running, but now provide insightful feedback and stimulate positive growth.
