SUMMIT, NJ - Alliance Repertory Theatre Company will present the New Jersey premiere of “Filming O’Keeffe” by Eric Lane, a funny and heartfelt story of family and remembrance, beginning May 4 and continuing through May 19 at MONDO.

Max is a bright, articulate 17-year-old who embarks on a high school assignment to make a short film about an artist he admires. Choosing painter Georgia O'Keeffe and her photographer husband Alfred Stieglitz, Max and his classmate Lily grow close, but when his estranged grandfather show up unexpectedly, Max's strong-willed mother's secrets about the family are threatened and Max's world is turned upside down. Through the experience, Max learns that -- to be the person he wants to be -- he must take control of his own life.

Directed by Michael Driscoll, the play features Chris Erdman as Max, Kristen Pellizzi as Lily, Howard Fischer as the grandfather and Barbara Guidi as the mother. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Thursday, May 10 at 8 p.m. Tickets -- priced at $27 for adults, $22 for seniors and $17 for students --  are available by visiting or by calling 908-472-1502.

MONDO is located at 426 Springfield Avenue.
