Anna DiSibio, Catherine Maloney Twin Double-Doubles Spell Double Trouble for Governor Livingston as Summit High Girls Basketball Triumphs, 49-44

SUMMIT, NJ - Anyone who has ventured to IN-N-OUT Burger, the quick-service restaurant with a cult following, knows the epic joy associated with uttering the words "two Double-Doubles please."

Indeed, the Summit High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team was hungry for a win, and senior captain Anna DiSibio, junior captain Christina Richson and her classmate Catherine Maloney delivered mouth-watering performances in a 49-44 Hilltopper win at Governor Livingston.

DiSibio (11 points and 10 rebounds) and Maloney (13 and 12) each notched a double-double, combining for 24 points and 22 rebounds.

Richson delivered a joint game-high 18 points as Summit improved to 8-16 on the season. Lindsay Gerrato had 18, including 10 points from the charity stripe, for the Highlanders.

The Hilltoppers led 14-8 after one quarter, 25-19 at the half, ten upped their advantage by a bucket to 35-27 through 24 minutes of play.

A high scoring fourth quarter saw the teams combine for 31 total points and, although Governor Livingston shaded the frame 17-14, The Maroon & White hung tough for the 'W'.

Sixteenth-seeded Summit next enters NJSIAA North 2, Group 3 State Tournament play, traveling to face top-seeded Somerville February 28. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
