Area Man Victim of Reported Armed Robbery by 'Two Masked Men' on Madison's Main Street

MADISON, NJ—On July 23, 2017 at approximately 10:40 p.m. the Madison Police Department was alerted to an armed robbery that occurred in the area of 93 Main Street.

The 50-year-old victim, a Madison resident told police that as he was walking west on Main Street attempting to walk through a covered driveway at 93 Main St. near British Home Emporium and Nautilus Diner, he was approached by two tall, masked men wearing dark clothing who pointed a gun at him and ordered him to the ground. While the victim was lying face down on the ground, the suspects removed $800 in cash from the victim’s pockets and fled toward Main Street as the victim lay uninjured.

The Madison Police Department was assisted by the Florham Park Police Department, Harding Police Department, Morristown Police Department, Morris Township Police Department, Chatham Township Police Department and the Morris County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit.
