SUMMIT, NJ - The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey will host an Open House event April 6, from 5:30 - 8 p.m, for parents and students interested in Summer Art Camp and for students interested in the upcoming Spring Semester.
Several of the Summer Art Camp's teaching artists will be on hand to share the Art Center’s teaching philosophy, designed to bring out children’s talents and creativity. Teachers will showcase some of the projects for summer campers, from drawing to printmaking and digital projects and more. Parents and campers will have the opportunity to tour the entire Studio School, which encompasses nine working art studios.
Students of all ages will be able to meet new teaching artists for the spring semester, including faculty from such disciplines as painting, ceramics, sculpture, and fiber. Every instructor present will be available to answer questions and demonstrate techniques available and discuss the spring and summer program offerings.
The Open House event is free and open to adults, teens, and children.
