SUMMIT, NJ - West Elm, the modern furniture and home decor retailer that is set to open at 343 Springfield Avenue on November 3, has partnered with the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey to co-host its grand opening.

The retailer, for all of its major store openings, collaborates with local non-profits, and will donate a percentage of its profits from its November 2 evening pre-opening party to the Art Center. The event will also include drinks, light food, and a DJ.

A branch of Williams Sonoma, West Elm was launched in Brooklyn in 2002, and has stores in 85 cities throughout the United States. The company designs 90% of their products in-house and, according to its website, "has steadily increased our selection of organic, handcrafted, sustainably sourced and Fair Trade Certified products."
