General Assembly candidate Jill LaZare was among those selected for endorsement by PAM's List, a New Jersey-based women's advocacy group. LaZare was the only candidate in the 21st legislative district to receive the endorsement of PAM's List, which finalized their decision and made the announcement earlier this week.
LaZare, who is challenging Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz in the 21st district, which contains sixteen municipalities in Morris, Somerset, and Union Counties, was also recently endorsed by the Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey and NJ Citizen Action.
“Combined with the support of Planned Parenthood, this endorsement by PAM's List shows who women in this state stand behind,” said LaZare, who has made restoring funding to women's health services a campaign priority. If elected, LaZare has pledged to sponsor legislation that would return the $7 million cut from the budget earlier this year. “PAM's List, Planned Parenthood, and women all across the district understand what Nancy Munoz seems not to: we need to restore the crucial funding that Governor Christie senselessly slashed from the budget.”
PAM's List, founded in 1993, is a political action committee with the goal of helping elect pro-choice women to the New Jersey State Legislature.
