I support David Dietze for Summit’s Next At Large Council member.
David is fiscally conservative and has a decidedly broad biography and experience particularly from a legal and financial perspective – Dartmouth undergrad in Economics, Yale Philosophy, Chicago Law J.D., CFA and CFP financial designations. David’s lived in Summit for 22 years and has deep civic experience including serving on the Board of Education as a past President, as a former Trustee of the YMCA and Chair of the Investment Committee while also serving the Overlook Hospital Foundation.
David bravely stepped out of a comfortable law practice to found his wealth management firm in Summit which is similar to mine in that it manages approximately $325 million for high net worth private clients. Thus, he well understands the challenges of being a downtown business owner.
David is also endorsed by our neighbor Pat Hurley (lives a few doors down from me) who is also a Naval Academy grad, Navy veteran and has well served our town as Councilman since 2012 in addition to being endorsed by former Mayor Ellen Dickson.
Of course, on the local level Democrat / Republican titles matter very little and it is better to make a decision based upon the candidate’s merits.
Please join me in voting for David Dietze on November 7.
