Berkeley Heights YMCA Child Care Open House

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Come explore and learn about the Berkeley Heights YMCA Child Care program at our Open House on Monday March 7! At the Y, we understand the importance of choosing just the right program for your child and we encourage and welcome you to come see our programs.

The Berkeley Heights Branch of the Summit Area YMCA includes Preschool, Kindergarten Wrap and School Age Childcare for both before and after school.  Our branch also facilitates the OASIS programs in Berkeley Heights and New Providence Schools.  The children enrolled in OASIS (Offsite After School In School) remain at their school for the afternoon participating in a variety of activities while closely supervised by our enthusiastic and caring staff.

“I am proud to belong to an organization that welcomes all, regardless of their ability to pay,” states Jennifer Lombardi, Director of Offsite After School Programs, “Our childcare programs have a limited size which allows staff to provide the attention necessary for each and every child to learn and grow, so we encourage parents to register early to ensure availability in the program of their choice”.  At the Y, we strive to fulfill our promise to make each day an opportunity to nurture the potential in your child and to feel secure and confident in discovering their potential.

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
