The non-profit organization, Bonds of Courage (formerly Summit Supports our Troops) is holding an event to provide a range of services to Troops, Veterans and their families in a gala event, From Oath to Home on Saturday, November 11, 2011, which is also, not coincidentally, Veteran’s Day. It will take place at the Grand Summit Hotel, 570 Springfield Avenue, Summit, NJ. Cocktail hour will begin at 6:30PM, followed by the dinner and program, ending at 10:30PM.
According to Founder and President, Christine Truhe, PsyD, Bonds of Courage serves as a bridge between concerned civilians and our American troops.
The dinner, which will feature door prizes, a silent auction, a live auction and a return visit from the sensational Liberty Belles, will honor those who serve us selflessly in the face of dangers and protecting our freedoms. A number of Military will be attending.
This year is especially significant as Bonds of Courage moves from a provisional organization to a service organization. The demands are great as we have many men and woman who are dedicated to serving the civilian population. They will continue to need support. Therefore, we need to grow our organization by staffing and structure to become substantial. Proceeds will benefit the programs and services offered by Bonds of Courage, a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization.
