A committed crew of folks stands at the entrance to Equinox on River Road, the start and stop point for the Operation Water Challenge, which was sponsored by Summit's Revivify. Thirty participants chose to complete either the 4-mile round-trip, short-course or 22-step challenges.

Revivify partnered with Equinox on event which saw participants carrying 22 kg. of water in two buckets to raise funds and awareness for operationwater.org, a nonprofit organization with a mission to deliver clean water solutions to the greatest number of people in need, at the lowest cost per person, by developing sustainable infrastructure projects.

Operation Water estimates that 663 million people, about 9% of the global population, lack access to improved drinking water sources, with 48% of those people live in sub-Saharan Africa. In 21 countries, more than one third of the people do not have access to clean drinking water; 16 of those countries are in sub-Saharan Africa.
