SUMMIT, NJ - The City of Summit is currently and actively seeking volunteers from the community to fill vacancies on several of its committees and commissions. Every November, the Mayor and Common Council start the annual process of reviewing volunteer applications and appointing new members.

Terms of service vary from one to five years, with an opportunity for re-appointment, and the City keeps applications active for two years.

“There is a proud history of volunteerism and service in Summit,” said Summit Mayor Ellen Dickson. “Serving on a board or committee, provides citizens with an unequaled opportunity to enhance government services, public education, safety issues, and the environment. I encourage all residents to consider getting involved in our wonderful community, and help make Summit an even better place to live and work.”
