Calvary Episcopal Church will again offer weekday "Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: for Toddlers’ program— designed for children ages 18 to 36 months— beginning September 13.
The program is based on both the methodology of Maria Montessori, in which the youngest child is given materials for the work of language skills and fine motor manipulations, and the "Catechesis of the Good Shepherd" formation program that plants the seed for spiritual life through prayer, interactive work, and celebration aided by a catechist (teacher) in a prepared environment called the atrium.
The environment is designed to be both warm and welcoming, allowing children to explore independent learning, and the parent can grow through observation and interaction with their child.
For fall 2017, the sessions will be offered from 2 - 3 p.m. on 15 Wednesdays starting September 13, or from 9.15 - 10.15 a.m. on 15 Thursdays starting September 14. Registration is open to the public
