MOUNTAIN LAKES, NJ - Junior Katia Carnevale scored three goals -- the Hat Trick lifting her season tally-haul to 40 -- as the Summit High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team won at Mountain Lakes, 8-5.

The victory, coming less than 48 hours after they dropped a 10-5 decision to nationally Top 20-ranked Garden City, NY, improves the Hilltoppers' season record to 8-2.

Senior captain Amy Martino had six saves in goal, and juniors Julia Szynal (2), Anna Huntley-Robertson, Anna Griffith and senior captain Anna Turk all found the back of the net.

Sarah Monteleone had three goals for Mountain Lakes while goalie Nicole Calderone blunted 11 shots.

Summit had leads of 5-1 and 7-3, but the Lakers kept grinding and pushed the Maroon and White to the final horn.

The Hilltoppers return home April 26 to face Westfield on the Upper Turf Field. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
