PRINCETON, NJ - Cecily Stabler scored three goals, and six other Hilltoppers found the back of the net as the Summit High School Girls Ice Hockey Team ran their record to 7-2 on the season with a convincing 9-3 victory at Princeton.
A five-goals-in-ten-minutes first-period explosion won the day for The Maroon & White, with Sydney Cornell, followed by Stabler, Delaney O'Dowd, Shannon Groskoph, and Bella D'Ambrosi putting the puck past Princeton goaltender Ella Chandler.
Princeton shot back into the contest for a time with two goals to begin the second period through Victoria Zammit, but Stabler and Emma Cahillane, then Stabler again for her Hat Trick made it 8-3 Summit.
The teams traded goals in the third, with Emma Wilde getting the Hilltoppers ninth tally. Kira Ross had three assists, with Maroon & Whiters Charlotte Cass, Morgen Shung, Emily Sharp, Cornell, Groskoph, and O'Dowd also contributing helpers.
