Central Presbyterian Church Announces Holiday Events

SUMMIT, NJ - Central Presbyterian Church, located at 70 Maple St., has announced a schedule of special holiday events to be held during the month of December.

The Central Concert Series, conducted on three consecutive Fridays, will feature free concerts in their Sanctuary:

Friday, Dec. 6 at 12:15 p.m.

An Afternoon of Song featuring Colette Boudreaux, soprano, & Scott Joiner, tenor, with Charity Wicks, piano. Lunch will be available for purchase prior to the concert, made possible by the Central Presbyterian Women.

Friday, Dec. 13 at 12:15 p.m.

Music for Organ and Piano 4-hands - Taisiya Pushkar, piano & Charity Wicks, organ & piano.

Friday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Duo Scorpio - harpists Kristi Shade & Kathryn Andrews.  An evening of music for two harps, including favorite holiday selections.

The Church will host a Living Nativity, Dec. 8 at 4:30 p.m., where live animals and costumed actors will re-enact the First Christmas, and refreshments, caroling, crafts and holiday cheer in the church auditorium will add to the fun. The public is invited, and the event is family-friendly and free.  A Christmas Eve Worship program Dec. 24 begins at 4 p.m. with a Family Christmas Eve Worship, and Candlelight Christmas Eve Worships are held at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.
