SUMMIT, NJ - Girls Swim Team member Charlotte Greer and the Boys Hockey Team's Jack Murphy have each been named Summit High School Athlete of the Week, presented by TAPinto Summit, for the week ending February 4.

Each week throughout the school athletic year, an athlete or athletes will be honored for distinguishing themselves in the arena of competition, in the classroom, and for demonstrating exemplary, Hilltopper-caliber sportsmanship and leadership qualities.

Senior captain Greer swam to the top of the podium twice in Summit's 106-64 win over Cranford, winning the 50 Free and -- along with her teammates -- capturing top spot in the 200 Medley Relay.

Murphy has practiced with the varsity team, played in six games as a defenseman and dressed as a back-up goalie for a few games. In addition, the senior has been the Maroon and White's JV goalie for most of their games, with his dedication to the program and versatility making a big impact on the team's success this season.
