SUMMIT, NJ - A statement made during a meeting of the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) on January 12  erroneously referred to a bridge closure in Summit.  Summit Mayor Ellen Dickson clarified that, “While no bridges have been closed in our community, we are anxiously awaiting construction to begin on the Morris Avenue Bridge replacement project.”

Regarding that project, City Engineer Aaron Schrager stated, “The Department of Transportation has informed us that the Morris Avenue Bridge Replacement Project is currently out to bid, and construction is scheduled to begin this spring.”
