SUMMIT, NJ - The City of Summit Parking Services Agency has installed new 90-minute and five-hour parking payment kiosks in multiple city center locations. The parking payment kiosks, operational beginning Thursday, August 9, are located at:
90 Minute Parking Kiosks
- Bank Street
- Beechwood Road, Maple Street and Summit Avenue between Union Place and Springfield Avenue
- Deforest Avenue between Kent Place Boulevard and Norwood Avenue
- Norwood Avenue and Kent Place Boulevard between Springfield and Deforest Avenues
- Springfield Avenue between Kent Place Boulevard and Glenwood Place
- Union Place
Five-hour Parking Kiosks
Deforest Avenue between Norwood Avenue and Beechwood Road.
The single-space street meters on affected streets will be removed in the near future and covered with instructions to “pay at kiosk” in the interim. Covered meters do not indicate a free parking zone.
As of July 2, the rate for parking in 90-minute spots was set at $1 per hour. At the payment kiosk, individuals will be prompted to enter their vehicle license plate number and to make a payment with exact change or by credit card. Payments can also be made with Parkmobile. The first 15-minutes free parking will still be offered at payment kiosks.
Parking Services staff will be available to assist users at each location. For more information, contact the Parking Services Agency at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 908-522-5100.
