Sustainable Jersey representatives announced today that City of Summit won a Sustainability Champion award in the medium population category. City of Summit is being recognized for making the most progress in the Sustainable Jersey program in its respective category. City of Summit will be honored at the Sustainable Jersey awards luncheon on Tuesday, November 16 with Summit Council President David Bomgaars accepting the award.

“The City of Summit is pleased to be the recipient of the Sustainability Champion award from Sustainable Jersey in the medium municipal category at the Silver level. The City is honored to be recognized once again for its environmental initiatives and commitment to sustainable practices. I thank my fellow elected officials, Summit’s many volunteers, and City staff for their dedication to this program - without them this achievement would not be possible. Summit proudly continues to do its part for the environment for its citizens and future generations. We recognize it is our local responsibility to protect our natural resources as a responsible member of the global community,” said City of Summit Mayor Jordan Glatt.
