SUMMIT, NJ - Hilltop City residents and encouraged to volunteer on City of Summit government boards and commissions, with the City now actively seeking volunteers from the community to serve in various roles. Terms vary from one to five years of service with an opportunity for re-appointment.

Each November, the Mayor and Common Council begin the annual process of reviewing volunteer applications and appointing new members. The City of Summit keeps applications active for two years. Completed applications should be directed to or sent to the Office of the City Clerk at 512 Springfield Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901.

The deadline to submit a volunteer application is October 15.
