SUMMIT, NJ -  The City of Summit has contracted with National Water Main Cleaning Company of Harrison to clean and inspect storm and sanitary sewers, as well as inlets, beginning in Downtown May 11, and then on Druid Hill and Fernwood Roads threreafter.

All Downtown work will be completed at night, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., and a police officer will be present. Noise is anticipated to be kept at a minimum, with the exception of when a vacuum truck is used to clean inlets. After all of the Downtown work is complete, work on the two residential streets will begin and be conducted during the day.
