SUMMIT, NJ - The City of Summit will present its preliminary recommendations regarding the Broad Street west redevelopment area at a public meeting May 31, beginning at 7 p.m., at The Connection. The Broad Street area -- between Broad Street and Morris Avenue and Maple Street -- has been designated “an area in need of redevelopment” by the City of Summit Common Council.

In an initial public meeting held on March 19 and in follow-up stakeholder meetings, participants shared ideas for specific uses and improvements for the redevelopment area, expressed architectural design preferences, and reviewed proposed project materials.

The City also provided an opportunity for interested citizens to communicate feedback online using an online platform found at

The Connection is located at 79 Maple Street.
