The impact of head injuries on students will be the topic of a presentation sponsored by the Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School Guidance and Counseling Department as part of its Parents and Counselors Together (P.A.C.T.) series.
Dr. Joseph Rempson, director of the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute's Concussion Center at Overlook Hospital, will present "Concussions: Signs, Symptoms and Effects" on Thurs.,Nov. 18, 7 p.m. in the auditorium at LCJ Summit Middle School, 272 Morris Ave.
In his presentation, Dr. Rempson will emphasize the impact that head injury has on students' functioning and learning capabilities in school.
“With so many Summit children participating in a variety of active, contact sports, Dr. Rempson's insight will prove very valuable for parents, faculty and staff alike,” said Matthew Block, principal of LCJSMS.
