WESTFIELD, NJ - Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) will host a student leadership conference April 29, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., at Mountainside Borough Hall, with the event free and open to area high school students from across the Seventh Congressional District.

Attendees will participate in a morning of hands-on activities and speeches about current events and issues facing the Nation. New Jersey State Senator Tom Kean, Jr. will be serving as the conference’s keynote speaker.

“Nearly 100 students joined us last year to learn about lawmaking and governing. At this conference, students will be put in the role of lawmaker – tasked with balancing the federal budget and reforming tax policy while weighing the priorities of the Nation.  All students interested in public policy and politics should participate.” said Lance.

Mountainside Borough Hall is located at 1385 US Highway 22.
