SUMMIT, NJ - Construction on the City of Summit's Huntley Road Area Improvement Project will get underway on June 29, with work to include sewer cleaning and inspection along with the upgrading of storm drain inlets. A storm pipe will be installed beginning on July 6 and additional repairs to existing curb and installation of new curb will take place during July and August, when streets will also be milled and paved.
Work is expected to be completed prior to Labor Day.
Partial road closures should be expected with several streets in the area impacted, including: Caldwell Avenue, Clark Street, Eaton Court, Huntley Road and Willow Road.
Area residents have received notice from the City of Summit Engineering Division and will be notified by S & L Contractors when work is expected to impact driveway access. Police officers will be present to monitor and help manage road closures within the area.
Access to emergency vehicles will be provided at all times.
