SUMMIT, NJ - Continuo Arts will present Disney’s “Mulan Jr." and “Voices Rising Showcase” on July 26 at 4 p.m., and again at 7:30 p.m., with both performaces at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Nineteen children, ages 8-18, are involved in an intensive three-week musical theater immersion experience.  Rising Stars from Summit, Westfield, Scotch Plains, Princeton, Chatham, and Berkeley Heights are inspired by a first tier Artistic staff including Director, Samantha Holgate.

Master classes will be directed by Terance Reddick of Broadway’s Les Miserables.  During the program young artists learn about the key elements of musical theater and expand knowledge in areas that match their interests and talents.  Throughout the Conservatory, performers are inspired in a creative, positive, and interactive environment with enrichment in vocal production, acting, dance, choreography, staging, improvisation, character study, make-up techniques, stage management, and set design.

A sneak preview will be held at Community Night on The Green in Summit on July 22 at 7 p.m..  Show tickets are available in advance and at the door, and are priced at $5 for children/students, and $10 for adults.  For more information, call 908 / 264-5324 or visit
