SUMMIT, NJ - Celebrating its 112th season as a first-rate tennis facility, the Summit Tennis Club is offering Hilltop City residents and their neighbors the opportunity to become a club member. Tucked into a bend in the road on Sunset Drive the Club -- which was founded in 1908 with a single court -- now features seven tennis courts and two paddle courts.
The private club’s tennis courts feature HarTru, the world’s leading clay surface, with lights to accommodate evening play. Its tennis professionals can provide individual and group lessons for both adults and juniors, and the club also offers competitive women’s, men’s and junior travel leagues for all different levels of play.
The club is hosting an Open House on May 5, from 5:30 - 7 p.m., for new and prospective members, with the event also serving as a season-opening celebration for its existing members.
For more information on membership, lessons and leagues, visit summit-tennis-club.org. Those expressing an interest in joining will be contacted by Rob Lattarulo, chairperson of the Club's membership committee.
The Summit Tennis Club is located at 45 Sunset Drive.
