Crowning Achievement: Summit High Girls 800m Sprint Medley Team Delivers Career Best Time, Takes Fifth at Nationals to Cap Weekend Full of Record-Setting Hilltopper Performances

GREENSBORO, NC - Literally saving "their best for last" in the final race as a team in their Summit High School Track and Field careers, the Hilltopper Girls 800m Sprint Medley Relay Team of Jackie Kohaut, Emma Osborne, Claudia Piron and Icisys Sadler set a school record and came across the finish line in fifth place at the New Balance Nationals on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.

The quartet of Summit speed merchants ran a 1:44:78, which was just 36/100ths of a second away from a third-place finish.

The spectacular effort topped off a weekend of tremendous, record-setting performances by Hilltopper Track and Field Team members, who delivered a series of seasonal and personal bests.

On Saturday, in the 4x200m Relay Final, Kohaut, Osborne, Piron and Sadler took more than a full second off their previous best-ever career time to finish in eighth place, clocking a 1:39:86, which ranks fifth all time in the state of New Jersey.

Also on Saturday, Dorian Jackson set a personal best mark in the Javelin of with a throw of 172' 8", and the Hilltopper Boys 1600m Relay Team of Jack Bunting, Matt Kohaut, Sam Malnati, and Will Robertson came home in a season best 3:40:16.

The Summit team of Kira Ross, Kerry Kovar, Sophie Piron and Sadler set a school record time of 1:05:06 in the 4x100m Shuttle Hurdles,
