DCP Announces 2015 Movies and Concerts

Summit, NJ – Mark your calendars! The Summit Department of Community Programs has announced the 2015 lineup for both its Screen on the Green movie series as well as its Hot Summer Nights concert series. All are welcome to attend these award-winning series which are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout July and August on Summit’s Village Green. Admission to all concerts and movies is free.

Presented by Investors Bank, the 2015 Hot Summer Nights concert series will “keep the Green rocking” every Tuesday night at 7:00 pm in July, beginning on July 7th with Lovebent, and followed by AM Gold on July 14th, Funktion 11 on July 21th, and Smooth on July 28th. Please note that the July 21st concert will also serve as Community Night, an opportunity for local non-profits to gather on the Village Green and share their mission with concert-goers. The 2015 concert series is also sponsored by Smythe Volvo, Equinox Fitness, and CommuniKids.

Screen on the Green will kick of its 2015 series, beginning Thursday, July 23 with a special showing of The Spongebob Movie. The series will continue every Thursday night on the Village Green with showings of Home on July 30, Rio 2 on August 6, and How to Train Your Dragon 2 on August 13. As always, families are welcome to gather on the Green for a family dance party at 7:45 pm during each movie night. Movies will begin playing at dark.
