On Tuesday November 7th, I encourage my friends and neighbors to cast their vote for David Dietze to serve as Summit's next At-Large member of Common Council.

I retired as Executive Director at The Connection about a year and a half ago. As such, I understand the community's untapped potential and believe with the right leadership so much more is possible. David has demonstrated the type of leadership

I offer my support as a lifelong Democrat.  While I may not agree with every position David may take, I haven’t agreed with every position Democrats have taken over the years either. I support David because he is smart, open-minded, levelheaded, thoughtful, and refreshingly inclusive in his leadership style - no matter what your affiliation look no further than David to set the right tone and get the job done.

David’s dedication to Summit is clear.  I have had the pleasure of seeing David and his wife Claire raise their family in Summit starting nearly two decades ago.

David is the “finance” candidate.  David’s financial skills are known both here and abroad through his highly successful firm.  His serving three times on the Board of School Estimate, twice as the BOE’s Operations Chair, plus his financial leadership roles for the Y and Overlook give him the numbers and operational experience that is unmatched in this campaign.

David is the “downtown” candidate.  For Summit’s downtown to stay vibrant and relevant, a candidate that has worked downtown for nearly 25 years is an obvious choice.

Finally, I know firsthand how David gives back to Summit.  The Connection has benefited greatly through his support over the years, both personally and as a trustee of the Summit Area Public Foundation.

On Tuesday November 7th, vote David Dietze to serve as Summit's next At-Large member of Common Council.
