SUMMIT, NJ - The digital permit platform affecting parking and Transfer usage, and which replaces the previous vehicle decal system as of October 1, is now accepting resident registrations through September 30.
Permits, which will go into effect October 1, are available by visiting summit.gtechna,net. The new digital permit system uses license plate recognition that enables residents to park in municipal parking lots and garages and to use the City of Summit Transfer Station, located on 40 New Providence Avenue.
The new process requires residents to create a personal account online with a username and password. Once the registration process is complete, users will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to initiate the permit renewal process with a credit card online. Permits will be valid through September 30. 2018.
