Dish with Diane "Culinary Concoctions" Class Featured Chef Diane Henderiks

Foodies and new cooks alike were teeated to a fun and informative evening last week at Summit's gorgeous Twin Maples as Chef Diane Henderiks shared her love of cooking with a menu that pleased all.  She demonstrated Egglant Rollatini with Spinach, Baby Arugula Salad with yummy Citrus Seared Shrimp, Bruschetta Chicken, Mixed Herb Pesto Pasta, super healthy Ground Turkley Tacos, Seared Tofu made with her signature "Diane's Dirt" seasoning, a Coffee Marinated Steak Flatbread with Chimichurri, and followed up with delicious Crisy Chocolate & Nut Bark.

Attendees left with full bellies and a handful of wonderful, easy-to-recreate recipes, and were able to purchase Diane's packaged and patented seasonings, perfect for seafood, chicken, and ribs.

Chef Henderiks will hold a Mexican Fiesta event, again at Twin Maples, the evening of May 22, 7:30-10PM.

According to Chef Diane, "Mexican cooking is full of fresh, flavorful and healthful ingredients that when combined make your taste buds smile! I love Mexican food and in this class I will share my favorite simple and delicious dishes!" And, as an added bonus there will be a complimentary Margarita flight!  Following is the menu expected to be demonstrated that evening:

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
