SUMMIT, NJ - Merriam-Webster notes that 'resolve' is defined as a "fixity of purpose... marked by firm determination."

Two and a-half weeks into the New Year -- a time in which many resolve to make one of more additions or subtractions in their lives designed to enhance the quality thereof -- 'National Ditch Your New Year's Resolution Day' comes along to throw a tongue-in-cheek wet blanket on the whole self-improvement dynamic.

Summit's Office Tavern Grill is having some fun with this willpower wipeout by offering diners a free individual cookie skillet. All that customers need to do is let their server know they are 'off the wagon' relative to their resolution and a complimentary delicious chocolate chip cookie -- served hot and fresh from the oven -- will be on its way.

“At The Office Tavern Grill, we know our guests are dedicated to enjoying good food, even if that means breaking their New Year’s resolution.” said Steve Baliva, vice president of operations, 40NORTH Restaurant Group. “As such, we are excited to celebrate 'National Ditch Your New Year’s Resolution Day' by treating our guests to one of our delicious and indulgent desserts and hoping that they won’t be too hard on themselves, either.”

Located at 61 Union Place in Summit, The Office Tavern Grill’s culinary team prepares "the best gastropub-style food this side of the Hudson" using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients whenever possible, The Office Tavern Grill provides guests with a variety of selections from its chef-driven menu, including signature items like Sweet Potato Nachos, Mushroom Flatbread, Hilltop Dog, Duck Pot Pie, Chicken and Waffles and more – plus traditional Office favorites like burgers, wings, flatbreads and more, paired with the micro brews, regional favorites and international staples hand-selected by its own Cicerone.

The offer available only on January 17, 2018, with guests letting their servers know that they are “Ditching their New Year’s Resolution” to receive their free individual cookie skillet. Limit one per customer, dine-in only, and cannot be combined with any other offer.

The Office Tavern Grill is open from 11 a.m. - 1 a.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 1 a.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Sunday, and can be reached by calling 908-522-0550.
