One never knows who they will meet at the 2015 PAL Fishing Derby, set for Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26.

SUMMIT, NJ - The Municipal Golf Course pond will be stocked with Rainbow and Brook Trout for the Annual PAL Fishing Derby, which will take place -- rain or shine -- on April 25 and 26.

In addition to the 1,000, 13-inch fish added to the pond, there will be 10, 21-inch prize fish swimming about the Muni watering hole. As is custom, the PAL Derby will feature free hot dogs and free soda, with all welcome to attend this free, two-day event. No Muni memberships are required.

Event-goers are advised to bring their own rods and reels, and bait and tackle will be offered for sale at the Derby.

This annual event is sponsored by the Summit Police Athletic League (PAL) as well as Summit Department of Community Programs (DCP). For more information, contact the DCP at 908 / 277-2932, or visit cityofsummit.org/recreation.
