SUMMIT, NJ - Influenced by eclectic genres such as American Blues and South African music, San Francisco-based musician Saul Kaye will appear for Artist-in-Residence Shabbat January 27 - 28 at Congregation Ohr Shalom - Summit Jewish Community Center. (COS-SJCC).

Essentially in his own category of Jewish music, Kaye released five CDs of varying styles from the late 1990s through 2008, He was pulled towards an idea that he claimed wouldn't leave him alone -- the natural marriage of Jewish history, characters, and liturgy with the Blues. He has released two CDs - Jewish Blues, Volumes One and Two, which have both received critical acclaim.
