Berkeley Heights, NJ, July 29, 2013 – Summit Animal Rescue Association is holding an exciting fundraiser event; The Fifth Annual SARA Golf Outing, Dinner, Tricky Tray and Silent Auction. This has been a fun event for both golfers and non-golfers. It will be held at Beaver Brook Country Club in picturesque Annandale, NJ, near the junction of I-78 and Route 31. The event is open to the general public. The fee is $135 per player, or $500 per foursome. For non-golfers the fee is $45. A portion of the registration fee is tax deductible. The golf portion of the event begins at 12:30 pm, and the dinner/auction begins at 5:30 pm.


The Golf format will be a Four-Man Scramble, scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm with a “Shotgun Start”. Golfers will receive 18-holes of golf with cart and a box-lunch before tee-off, along with a bag filled with   free gifts, valuable coupons and sponsor information. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winning teams, with $500 for first place, $250 for second place and $100 for third place. There will also be contests for long-drive, nearest–to-pin, putting, and “surprise contests”. Prizes awarded for these include leading-brand golf clubs and other valuable items. There will be hole-in-one contests on all four par-3 holes, with a $10,000 prize and 3 other valuable prizes.


Golfers and non-golfers will receive an Italian buffet dinner complete with beer, wine, soda, desert, cheese and vegetable appetizers, and will be eligible to participate in both the silent auction and the tricky tray raffle to win valuable prizes. At press time, the following items have already been secured as prizes:
