The Summit Performing Arts Resource Committee (SPARC) will host its first annual "SPARC'ling Evening of Song" from 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm on Saturday, October 2 at the Reeves-Reed Arboretum*, 165 Hobart Avenue in Summit to raise money for performing arts programs in Summit's public schools. The elegant evening will include musical performances by talented professionals and Summit High School alumni, as well as wonderful wines and fabulous food. There will also be opportunities to win valuable prizes through an auction, reverse auction and games of chance.

SPARC plays a vital role in supporting Summit's award-winning performing arts programs in the public schools. Last year, SPARC funded more than $12,000 in grants to supplement performance budgets at all schools in the district, enable a variety of educational workshops for drama and forensics students, and provide performing arts scholarships for high school seniors. With SPARC's help, these productions and programs provide fun, meaningful and educational experiences for Summit's public school students.

Tickets for "A SPARC'ling Evening of Song" are priced at $75 per person. For more ticket information, call (908) 277-4534 or visit www.sparcsummit.org to download an invitation.
