SUMMIT, NJ - A month from the planned reopening of the town's public schools, the City of Summit received some good news as there were no new cases of COVID-19 reported to the City by the New Jersey State Department of Health.

Summit's total number of cases since the pandemic began remains at 227.

The number of reported cases in the Hilltop City has slowed dramatically during the summer months of June and July, with 23 total cases reported over the two months. Conversely, Summit saw 164 cases in the two months preceding that period, with 131 of those coming in April alone.
