SUMMIT, NJ - Cecily Stabler is en fuego, and so is the Summit High School Girls Ice Hockey Team.

The winning streak for The Maroon & White has hit five games and counting after they slammed Newark East Side and Immaculate Heart by a combined score of 21-2 in back-to-back wins.

The Hilltoppers dismantled Newark East Side 13-1 on January 13, with senior Stabler netting her second Hat Trick in as many games. Sydney Cornell, Kira Ross, and Emily Sharp each had two goals, with Grace Donohue, Blakely McCann, Shannon Groskoph and Emma Cahillane all finding the back of the net.

Ross and Cornell each had three assists, and Sharp and Donohue both added a pair of helpers. Julia Oppici was credited with 12 saves in goal for Summit.

The next night, Summit crushed Immaculate Heart 8-1, behind the third Hat Trick in three games from Stabler and two goals each from Delaney O'Dowd and Amanda Michaels.

Sara Graham also scored for the Hilltoppers, with Kate Griffith, Ross, Emma Wilde and Nina diMayorca and Michaels notching assists.

Oppici made five saves as Summit ran their record to 9-2 on the season.

Summit, now 9-2 on the season, next faces Kent Place School January 17 at The Prudential Center. Face-off is set for 4 p.m.
