SUMMIT, NJ - Five Summit High School seniors -- Julie-Anna BrownAkea PoticanoKesley SouzaHamail Iqbal and Kamilah Torrillo -- have been awarded a total of $25,000 in scholarship awards by the Summit Police Athletic League (PAL).

Each spring, the Summit Police Athletic League awards academic scholarships to Hilltoppers, who are continuing onto college, based on a number of considerations, including academic record, extracurricular activities, leadership, civic involvement and financial need.

The Summit PAL also expressed its gratitude to retiring Summit High School teacher Adam Fern for all his help over the past several years coordinating the Summit PAL scholarship process at Summit High School.
