I ask for your support and vote for my friend David Dietze. After nearly six years of leadership at the Summit Board of Education, David is looking for a new role in continuing Summit’s allure to attract new residents and businesses. David has had 35 years’ of experience as an attorney and financial analyst. The most challenging Common Council Committee is that of Finance and Personnel. The complexity and obscure nature of a municipal budget make it difficult for a lay person to comprehend. This year’s 2017 Municipal Proposed Budget contains 312 pages. David has the diverse background not only to understand the workings of a City budget, but the competency to give sound advice to his fellow Committee members, Council members and residents of Summit. The foundation of a great City starts with a superior budget. David will make a difference. Please consider David’s credentials when you vote on November 7th.
