On behalf of Pathways Cooks, Lesley Andrews, Pathways Director, received the Ruby Award at the "Live Your Dream" annual event held by Soroptimist International of Suburban Essex.

Soroptimist, an international organization that helps the lives of women through education, training and improving quality of life, also donated $500 to Pathways Cooks at the event

The Ruby Award honors women who have worked to improve the lives of women and girls through their professional or volunteer work. Andrews received the award on behalf of Ann Karr, Gerri Madsen and the many Pathways Cooks volunteers who have improved the lives of hundreds of women undergoing cancer treatment and their families since 2011 by preparing and delivering delicious, organic, nutrient-rich meals.

Pathways, a program of The Connection for Women and Families, provides educational resources and ongoing support for women with cancer, creating a community in which shared experiences lead to personal growth and healing.
