SUMMIT, NJ - Residents can learn how to "Be Red Cross Ready" as the Summit Police Department, Summit Fire Department and the American Red Cross have teamed up to help individuals, families and the local community be better prepared for the next emergency.

On August 20 at 7 p.m., a joint presentation will be held at City Hall which will provide vital information on how to make a disaster preparedness kit, develop a family emergency plan, obtain first aid training, and other details on how you can help the community be prepared.
