Salerno Duane Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Summit fired up the grill to benefit the USO, an organization whose mission is to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.
The dealership held a barbecue wherein their customers could enjoy a burger or hot dog with all the trimmings and a cold beverage by making a donation of any denomination. The dealership also made a financial contribution to jumpstart the fundraising.
According to Salerno Duane General Manager Michael Podell, the initiative is the first of many community and charitable endeavors for Salerno Duane, which also offers special pricing above and beyond any manufacturer's incentives for veterans of all the armed forces.

The USO is not part of the federal government. A congressionally chartered, private organization, it relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations to support its activities, and is powered by a family of volunteers to accomplish their mission of connection.
