SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Farmers Market is offering those with smashing pumpkin baked goods recipes to show their stuff, hosting their inaugural 'Pumpkin Bread / Muffin Contest' on November 10.
Held on 'Sunday Funday' at the Market, the contest invites amateur bakers to bring their favorite pumpkin bread / muffins to Summit Farmers Market by 10:45 a.m. Entrants must bring one standard-sized loaf or six muffins. The public will be allowed to sample the baked goods after they have been judged.
The bread / muffins will be judged on their flavor, texture and appearance. Baked goods must be made from scratch and no mixes are allowed; however, canned pumpkin is permitted. Entrants must bring a copy of their recipe to the contest with them. The recipe will be shared in promotional media and social media efforts after the contest.
Paul Fessock will be deejay at the market for this event
