Ross Griswold, singer and guitarist based in North Plainfield, will take to The HAT Tavern stage February 10, from 7 - 10 p.m.
When not playing with area band Root Glen, Ross does acoustic shows at venues all over northern Jersey. His resonant voice and precise guitar work allow him to do justice to a wide range of songs, from popular standards to “diamond in the rough” songs that listeners rarely get a chance to hear live.
Located in The Grand Summit Hotel in Summit, The HAT Tavern offers an expansive menu that specializes in decadent burgers, tapas, salads and hearty comfort foods with “Jersey Fresh” ingredients, sourced from local farms and produce companies.

The HAT Tavern was conceived through the vision of south Florida celebrity chef Tony Sindaco and award-winning executive chef Charles Burke in 2011.
Sindaco, former chef and owner of Fort Lauderdale’s critically acclaimed Sunfish Grill, developed a constantly evolving menu for the Hat Tavern, focusing on the perfect “La Frieda” blend hamburger of brisket and short rib, sourced from Creekstone Farms in Kentucky, naturally raised and hormone free, graded USDA Prime Choice.
The enticing menu includes Jersey fries, a decadent dessert selection and a super affordable children’s menu. It also offers an extensive beverage selection with ales from all over the world, Jersey Craft Beer and wines from the most select vineyards.
The casual dining atmosphere of the tavern includes seven flat screen TVs with coverage of nearly every sporting event, tavern style lighting and local artist’s creations on the walls, available for purchase.
The name Hat captures the rich history of the hotel as the original owner’s name HATT was immortalized in brick on the front façade of the hotel. The subsequent owner, real estate magnate, Henry A. Taylor, chopped out one of the T’s to leave his initials – still noticeable today.
The HAT Tavern is the perfect local find.
