SUMMIT, NJ - For Summit's Office Tavern Grill, which serves up modern twists on traditional American comfort classics, offering up a glazed twist or chocolate frosted with sprinkles to celebrate 'National Donut Day' was not going to make the imagination grade.

No, instead the Hilltop City's curators of culinary creativity will -- on June 1 -- bring an exciting new flavor 'mashup' to its table -- the savory "Buffalo Chicken Donut," a crispy chicken donut glazed with spicy buffalo sauce, blue cheese ‘icing’ and celery ‘sprinkles'.

The juicy juxtaposition of gastronomic genres -- priced at just $15 all day long on the June 1 -- comes with two donuts, made from all white-meat chicken and deep fried until golden brown and crunchy. Every Buffalo Chicken Donut then takes a dunk in spicy buffalo sauce, before receiving a blue cheese drizzle and a sprinkle of celery pieces. Each donut is reminiscent of an order of The Office Tavern Grill’s signature buffalo wings.

“We wanted to do something different for National Donut Day,” said Kevin Felice, Corporate Executive Chef, 40NORTH Restaurant Group. “We decided to combine one of our favorite foods, and something that we know best – buffalo chicken – together for a new combination that’s both fun and delicious. We think our customers will love it.”

The Office Tavern Grill’s culinary team is committed to preparing "the best gastropub-style food this side of the Hudson," using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients whenever possible, Among signature selections found on The Office Tavern Grill's chef-driven menu are Sweet Potato Nachos, Funghi Flatbread, Chicken and Waffles and more – plus traditional favorites like burgers, wings, and flatbreads paired with the micro brews, regional favorites and international staples hand-selected by its own Cicerone.

The Office Tavern Grill is located at 61 Union Place.
